MappLab recognises that certain landscapes, datasets, and knowledge systems may hold cultural or Indigenous significance.

We acknowledge the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and are committed to working in good faith where projects involve Māori or other Indigenous communities. Where culturally significant information is engaged, we support appropriate consultation, respect tikanga and community protocols, and ensure that cultural knowledge remains under the authority of its originating community.

MappLab does not claim ownership of Indigenous knowledge incorporated into project work. Culturally sensitive material will not be published, reused, or shared without explicit consent.
